ABOUT

My name is James Wallace, I've loved everything with wheels ever since I could bury Micro Machines and Matchbox cars in my Mum and Dad's garden as a littl'un. That continued passion magically morphed into a job as Deputy Editor for a niche modified car magazine called Golf+ back in 2003. Since then, and following my decision to go  freelance in 2009, I've worked for a broad range of motoring magazines all over Europe, written a monthly blog for Yell.com and also became the freelance Editor of VWt Magazine for Kelsey Media for over four years.

In more recent years I've also worked for Pro Motiv as a PR representative for global brands such as Powerflex, ITG Air Filters, Milltek, Bilstein, HP Tuners, KW Automotive, Pioneer Car Audio and Toyota UK.

Current clients include Fast Car, Performance Audi, Performance VW, Mini World, Mini Magazine, Octane, Classic American, Total Kit Car, Which? Car, Volksworld, Retro Ford and VW Camper + Bus.

Regular monthly car meet videography as well as studio based product portraiture is an area in which I am rapidly gaining experience.  A portable strobe light setup and a car camera rig make both location and studio based assignments easily do-able.
Videography is quickly taking over from photography as my go-to calling with an ever icnreasing part of my portfolio behind the lens of a Sony DSLR. If you'd like any photos, or videos, of cars, clubs, people or products, don't hesitate to get in touch.
